ABOUT US
The 4600 Group was established in April 1985 when the founders of the company recognized the need to represent health care insurance payors in workers’ compensation cases. They recognized that health care insurance payors were paying claims for industrially related injury or illness but were obtaining few recoveries. Thus our proprietary discovery and documentation process was developed. By using this discovery and documentation process, potential cases could be identified and a recovery made on behalf of the health care insurance payor. This process is very important because most workers’ compensation cases are not generally apparent at admissions, billing, or claim processing levels. Therefore the lack of identification of workers’ compensation cases results in the loss of revenue and potential recovery by health care insurance payors.
The 4600 Group is named after Labor Code 4600, which in essence states that in the case of an employer’s neglect or refusal to provide medical treatment, the employer is liable for the medical expense incurred by or on behalf of the employee in providing treatment.
Today, The 4600 Group is the industry leader in the California workers’ compensation arena representing major health insurance companies and medical groups.
The 4600 Group is proactive in keeping abreast of all pending and proposed legislation, rules and new laws. We monitor pending legislative bills and proposed regulations that affect the workers' compensation recovery rights of our clients, and notify them when such laws are proposed to keep them abreast of developments.
